Light House of Hope Safe Spot, Inc. (LHOH) is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to being a Beacon of Hope for individuals and families experiencing difficult seasons. Our mission is to provide compassionate support, essential resources, education, encouragement, and connections to community services that promote health, dignity, stability, and hope.
At the heart of LHOH is the belief that every person deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and treated with dignity, regardless of their circumstances. We meet people where they are without judgment and believe in providing “A Hand Up, Not a Handout” by addressing immediate needs while helping individuals and families connect with resources that support long-term stability.
LHOH serves individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability by providing meals, hygiene and personal-care items, clothing, daily essentials, encouragement, and connections to community resources.
Through our Hope on the Move Parenting Initiative, we also support pregnant women and mothers with children from birth through age three. Families receive maternal and infant essentials, diapers, formula and feeding supplies, toiletries, education, encouragement, and connections to healthcare and community resources. We strive to reduce barriers during pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years of a child’s life while creating an environment where mothers feel supported rather than judged for needing assistance.
Guided by faith, compassion, and service, LHOH seeks to restore hope and remind those we serve that they are not alone. We are more than a resource we are a safe place, a source of encouragement, and a Beacon of Hope helping individuals and families move forward with dignity, faith, and purpose.
Light House of Hope Safe Spot, Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit serving unhoused individuals and families by meeting essential needs, removing barriers, and restoring hope and dignity through compassionate community support.
Our purpose is to meet unhoused individuals and families where they are providing essential daily needs while walking alongside them as they remove barriers, overcome obstacles, and move forward with stability, dignity, and hope.
We envision a future where strong community partnerships end systemic homelessness, remove barriers for families, and ensure that every individual especially mothers and children has access to safe housing, essential support, and the opportunity to thrive.
